old tickets??

Can't find where to post this. we have old non-expiring 10 day tickets but don't remember how many days are left. Where can we find out? How do we book park passes if we don't know the days and Disney wants us to check at member services when we arrive. What!!

I recently experienced this with a non-expiration park hopper ticket that was at least 20 years old. Just entered the ticket # into MDE and assigned it to my husband, and it automatically showed how many days are left. However ...... I believe once it's linked to a specific person, it can't be re-assigned to someone else (unless the ticket has never been used).

We have numerous old nonexpire tickets. Once they are linked to MDE, they show the number of days left.

I will say that I linked our tickets when MDE came out years ago. The numbers on the original tickets didn’t link. I had to take them to guest services and exchange them for the newer plastic tickets to link them properly.

Try linking and tickets and see what happens.

Now that I read this, I think this is what happened --- it was done years ago, and I'd forgotten. I just looked up the card, and it's plastic. Sorry to mislead anyone.

I have some ancient tickets as well. They're from the period when you bought a "bundle" at the Disney Store in the local mall. My bundle had a certain number of park days, park hopper, pleasure island, and water parks. Since we were going in February, we didn't use the water parks. When I took them to guest services 20 years ago to ask what was left on them, they told me that I had a night at pleasure island (since closed) which could be used as a water park pass and 2 days at water parks on each pass. The numbers on them don't work online. In order to use them, I need to exchange them at Guest Services.

I'm planning on pulling them out for this October's trip in case we want to go to a water park. I'm sure, when I present them at guest services, the CM will probably be younger than the tickets themselves!

I have old park tickets, really old park tickets. Ones without a bar code so they can't be linked online.

You would need those tickets put on current ticket stock. It can certainly be done at guest relations at the parks. Not sure if it can be done over the phone, but it might be worth a call to ticketing.

If they were issued prior to 2010:

Is the purchase date printed on your ticket prior to 2010? Please call (407) 939-4357 for information on how you can use pre-2010 tickets. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

We had non-expiring paper tickets that dated back to 1999 and 2000. Back in 2014 I inquired over the phone about using them and was told back then, I had to bring them to Guest Services in the park to have them transfer them to the new plastic tickets, which we did. We haven't used them as the number of days never matched up with what we were doing. Our upcoming trip was a perfect time to use them as it was just my DH and I going, for a quicker trip. I was able to link them to my MDE account, just recently, and assign two to my DH and two to me. Now I don't know whose ticket was whose back in 1999 and 2000, so I'm hoping they work the way I assigned them (I believe there was no finger scanning back then). lol

Disney has gotten very helpful with restoring old tickets. We called in and read them ticket numbers and they were able to add the virtual ticket to MDE. Go mom for saving those 1999 park hoppers that had a few extra days on them - they were worth a lot! LOL

They are correct. System did not track per person data back then.
Good news, anyone can use them. Just assign them to who you want.

I love this post, when they announced that they were going to stop selling the no expiration tickets we bought a few for each of us and still have around 20 park days left. And of course waterparks, and mini golf which we have also used over the years.

We have lots of non expire tickets linked in MDE. Most do not show the fun tickets. I had issues with the system upgrade in September and had to go to guest services for help. When she linked some tickets back that were lost in the upgrade, those tickets now show the number of fun options left.

I think the only way to see how many "water park fun and more" days are left on non-expiring tickets is to check at GS. If anyone else knows of another option, please share.

ETA: Maybe re-linking them is the answer to being able to see those entitlements online as cvjw reported.

I wasn’t aware of a system upgrade but that might explain why I also have physical tickets that are not listed on MDE as well as tickets that say “valid” on MDE that I can not match up with any cards I have. Does “valid” mean there are visits left? I’ve always tried to be very careful with these tickets and can’t believe that I may have lost some.
