old tickets - help please?

Hi

I am from the UK and a proud DVC member. When I visit WDW there is just myself and my DH.

I have got a myw ticket with plus days and no expiry for myself. However , DH has been using up the old hopper passes we have. Currently he has 3 of them;

1 has 2 park days
1 has 0 park days and 3 + days
1 has 0 park days and 4 + days.


We will be staying @ SSR at the end of July. I was wondering could guest services combine DH old tickets and put it towards the cost of a new MYW ticket (without expiry). Is it worth it, and what would the cost be?

When you trade in old tickets for cash value toward new tickets, the Pluses have no trade-in value, so the tickets with just pluses could not be used - however, you can certainly use those Pluses to get into the water parks or Pleasure Island.

you could apply the ticket with 2 park days on it toward purchase of a new MYW pass (or an Annual Pass, which is a great option for you DVC members since you also get a $100 DVC discount! http://www.mousesavers.com/wdwtixdiscounts.html#dvc).

However, you need to look at the amount you actually paid for that pass, because that's how Disney will computer its trade-in value: original purchase price, divided by the original number of days the ticket had when new, gives you the trade-in value of each leftover day. If you are buying new MYW hoppers, sometimes those old tickets are worth more as-is than on trade-in, since ticket prices have gone up since you bought them.

1) Applying old ticket costs for a new ticket is upgrading.
2) You cannot upgrade a pre-MYW ticket (pre-January05)
3) Just use them as they are.

You can use up the plusses at any time.

Based on what ticket content you still have, it is not recommended that you use the 2 remaining park days until you are going for no more than three days or until you have more leftover tickets so you don't need to buy a new ticket during the same vacation.
