I purchased my tickets for our upcoming trip before Disney introduced the MYW tickets.

I have in hand, a credit-card sized "paper" ticket. I've read mixed stories about whether old ticket users have to have finger scans or not.

Basically, can someone walk me through how the old tickets are currently being treated. When I go to my first park on my first day - what do I do? Do I need to be in a special line or need any special ID, etc.? I'd just rather be prepared. My dear family does not like to start off with confusion!!

TIA!

I used an old PLASTIC Park Hopper pass last week. Just slid it into the machine and walked through... no finger scans.

And just so you know, kids under 10 do not need to do finger scans even with the new passes. It's hard enough to get some adults to do it right.... imagine explaining it to a 3 or 4 year old.

Use the same turnstiles as everybody else. Currently you do not need to stick your fingers into the turnstile biometric scanner with old tickets, but this could change in the future.

For new tickets, when you think your fingers are in the right place in the biometric scanner, hold still for a few seconds. If your fingers move by accident, hold still again for a few seconds.
