I have an old style admission ticket with four days remaining. If my husband uses it, will he have to scan his fingers? He will probably never use another day, so if the four day ticket can only be used by him, I'll get him a one day, one park ticket. I know they were always supposed to be non-transferrable, so no need to point that out. Sorry if this has been discuseed before, and thanks again for your help.

Yes, a biometric scan will be done so the first person to use the ticket is the only one who can use the ticket.

Call me crazy, but what the heck is a biometric scan? Sounds kinda high tech for park entrance! Is this something new, I don't recall any "scan" upon entering the parks.

You probably didn't visit WDW on 2005.

"Effective January 2, 2005, all current WDW admission media will use the finger scans. Effective June 20, 2005, all WDW admission media including ones purchased prior to 2005 will use finger scans."
