old race shirts?

Wear your T-shirt or tech shirts if you want! I am in the process of making all my t-shirts from races (ok only the half and longer races now, but the rest are in pile to cut up) into a quilt because the shirts were just taking way to much space in my drawers and I don't have much chance to wear them anymore. I have a few favorite t-shirts I'll continue to wear but the long sleeve tech shirts from races I almost never wear anymore. If I save 2 I have plenty. The one shirt I don't know what to do with is a long sleeve tech shirt from the first DL half that I never got to run because my DD got married that weekend. I never wear it, and don't want to quilt it. I could donate it but that doesn't really seem right either. So it sits in the drawer- I can wear it for outdoor runs that I'd never take my fleece off for I guess- then no one ever sees the logo on it and it's just a white tech shirt.

Yep, 4:30 pm SWA flight out of CMH. I'm considering going earlier and seeing if I can get on an earlier flight. Long shot, but I don't have much going on Friday. If that doesn't work out, I'll see ya there! Where are you staying? I'm at CBR the 1st night and ASSpo Sat-Mon nights. Fly back Tues.

I was actually on their website looking at the earlier flights yesterday but I forgot you can no longer see Wanna Get Away fares so I am unsure if it would be a ton more $ to change. We originally booked for $80/each way so that's why the later flight. We are doing 2 nights at SSR and then 5 at AKV Kidani...yay for wonderful grandma's and kid free vacations!

Showing up at the airport and asking to standby to an earlier flight with Southwest is permitted, but requires an upgrade to Anytime fares. They are rather unmovable on this point. So at this late date, I would count on flying what you have booked!

Hi! Safe travels! Where do you do most of your running? Just curious. I love the Olentangy trail, but it's getting a little old. Would like to run some other trails- maybe westerville/ polaris area? I live by Alum Creek, so that'd be more convenient.

Good luck on your half!!

Hello CMH runners!

The Olentangy trail is good. I also like the trail system in Westerville. Check out also all of the Metroparks. Finally, Cruz91, since you live near Alum Creek, the Alum Creek State Park has a number of trails. There is a nice one that starts along the beach area. And then it goes through a trail heading south to the below dam area and on across the dam. And there is a killer set of steps that go from the below dam park area to the top of the dam that you could incorporate in your run. That will make you stronger for sure!

Cool so Saturday I'll wear my purple Baltimore Half Marathon shirt. It'll be my way of cheering on the Ravens that day. :thumbsup2

The hills/ stairs are why I AVOID Alum Creek trails, not something that would attract me to it! ;-) I have ridden my mountain bike in the park quite a bit though.
