Old PH tickets/MYW exchange

I have 3 "old" park hopper tickets (purchased at The Disney Store in Dec. 2003), 2 adult, 1 child, each with one day's admission left on them. Can I take these to guest services and use the cash value of these tickets (~$147) towards a new adult 8 day MYW ticket? I know you USED to be able to do this, not sure what the new policies might be.

You could use those tickets to upgrade to 3 MYW tickets. You cannot combine old tickets for one new ticket.

It would be better to use the old tickets "as is", then pucharse new MYW tickets.

Also, (I may be wrong here), I think if you were to upgrade them to new MYW tickets, you would have to get the non-expiring option, since the old tickets don't expire.
