So I found our old pass, It was a 4 day, non expiring hopper. Had three days still left on it and I called WDW and they added it to my current reservation. I want to add more days and they cannot do that online, I have to do that there, which is fine, but will I be charged for another three day ticket or will they charge me the difference between a 6 and a three day pass?

Unless something has changed Disney only allows you to upgrade a ticket (add days, park hopper, etc) within 14 days of its first use so I don't think they will allow you to upgrade the pass you have since you already used a day a long time ago.

Actually answered my own question. Called WDW and they said I can add more days to it, no problem. AND at the multiple day rate!!! So psyched! Surprised! But very happy

I wouldn't count on that. I hate to burst your bubble, but phone CMs have a reputation for giving bad information. The PPs are correct. You cannot upgrade a ticket that was initially used more than 14 days ago.

If, by some miracle you are allowed to upgrade that pass, it will be a result of pixie dust and not due to policy.

Did they add it to your package? I didn't think that was possible... Or did they enter it in your MDX account? (I didn't think they could do that over the phone either with an old pass, but it seems more likely...

Live and learn. :)

Do not go by what a phone cm tells you. They are often very wrong. Just as an example-they have also told people you can use a base ticket for park hopping which is completely untrue and that you can't get into the Christmas and Halloween parties until 7-again untrue.

Please let us know how this works out for you when you get to WDW.

I have a hotel reservation. I called and said I had found this old pass and they were able to take the info off of it (from 1994!) and add it to the system. It is MDX and they said it will show up on my magic band when I get there. I'll be bringing it with me just in case! We will see about adding days. If I can't, I can't. Here's hoping! :)

Did a chat with them to ask again because I am obsessed Lol. I was told from ticketing

"If the Guest still have a unused non-expiring ticket they could upgrade that ticket into one of our new products but it will remove the non-expiring option since we no longer sell that type of ticket."

So I confirmed that I could add additional days. They said,

"That can be done, but the whole thing is that it'd expire 14 days after."

Which is fine! Hopefully that will all happen. I'll let you know! :)

But you said you used a day already? It's not 'unused.'

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! good point. I did tell them there were only three days left but maybe that got lost. We will see :)

Good luck. If it is from 1994, that might be before the non-expiration specific feature started with Magic Your Way tickets and you might have better luck.

Your ticket isn't unused, so the point is moot.

When were "Magic Your Way" tickets introduced? My understanding is that only "MYW" tickets can be upgraded, regardless. Those really old tickets, prior to the introduction of MYW, are only valid assadmission an cannot be upgraded.

Those are pre-Magic Your Way tickets. They are definitely not upgradeable. You can use them for the entitlements that remain on them but you can't add more days.

I was just able to help friends add NE tickets from 2006 to MDE account for upcoming trip so they will be able to make FP at 60 days. It had to be done over the phone for tickets prior to 2007, but with help from a supervisor, CM got them added. I had been trying to see if they could add a day, since they have late flight home on departure day and lose part of first day with late morning flight, but figured from info. on here that they cannot since they were already used. OP, please post back after you go to let us know what happens in your case.
