Anyone have them? They are basically like sundresses right, not a cover up for swim suits?
Id like to buy a sun type of dress this year, but everyone I have tried on so far my ****s hang out of (and I'm not huge, I'm average, I know TMI, but just so you get an idea) and being that I am with DD all day, I just don't feel its appropriate.
SO what's your take on them?

Good question! I got the email about them, and love the broomstick style one in the center. I've recently lost a lot of weight, so I'm not sure how they'd look on me, but since they're pretty cheap I might check 'em out! :)

I seen them this weekend and i'am taking my dd16 to get a couple for our cruise. They are sundresses, they have some really cute styles.

You sound just like me! There are so many cute sundresses I can't wear for the very same reason -- little to no coverage for my chest.

I did go to the Old Navy web site because I too thought the dresses were cute. There was one in particular I was interested in, but in the reviews people thought the material was too thin (the dress was white with two big flowers printed on the front. I don't recall if it was an online special only though.) I was glad for the reviews because I've had issues before with items looking great online, but in person, they're terrible. I guess I'll have to go to the store and see what they have there.

They look really cute! I especially like the cross-front dress in the spitfire color online, but some of the reviews are really awful. :guilty: People are saying the material is super thin, they fit like maternity dresses and there's not much support for, erm.. bigger-busted ladies.

I DID get some of the ruffled gauze skirts (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=55402&vid=1&pid=752399&scid=752399002) though, and they are SUPER cute and fit really well. :thumbsup2

Wow, they come in petites online! Does anyone know if they can be returned to the store if ordered online? Thanks!

Oh, and how about layering a cami or tank for the falling out issue?

when I used to work at Old Navy, we did take returns in-store. :goodvibes Not sure if it has changed in the last 3 years or so.

I know we do accept returns from online, but not sure of the exact polices.

They do look really cute with a cami underneath! They are also on sale in-store.

I swear, I'm not traying to derail!!

I'm just wondering what kind of bra people tend to wear with something like that? I'm not like my DD, I *need* to have my brastraps covered! :scared: And I sure can't go without one, that would be... unfortunate. :rolleyes1

No, its a good question, anytime I wear a strapless type of bra it is SO uncomfortable! Some of the dresses look to have thick straps so I was looking into those as opposed to those spaghetti strap ones.

I have a strapless one from Frederick's that I love for racerback tanks and the like.

Most plus stuff has to be returned va mail.

They are VERY low cut, I wear with tanks underneath.
Yes they are a bit thin, and for $15 you what do you expect ?

I bought all colors last year, wore the heck out of them and threw they all away at the end of the summer.

Bought two this year already and I may go back and get another one.

They are great from hanging round house, pool , running to store. I think they are cute on and get lots of compliments.

Hmm, I went to Walgreens recently and got 5 tank tops for $10; maybe I'll wear one to Old Navy and see how they look with these. I don't usually wear dresses, but I'd like to have a "throw on" type thing for the upcoming sweltering weather :)

Thanks!

My Old Navy had a miserable selection and they were terribly thin. Anyone seen any better ones anywhere?

I am a 34DD so I definitely need to wear the dress with something. I tried one on with a basic tank, and it looked fine and cute for when it's miserably hot. Then, I can wear it with my regular bra..woohoo! I got the purple paisley one.

I purchased the above mention white tube dress with flowers and it is so cute. I originally brought it to wear as a cover up but decided to wear it as a dress last weekend when it was 90 degrees. It was soooo cute but the back is see through. Thank God I looked in the mirror before prancing out to the mall, I had to make a quick change. lmao::rolleyes1 I also brought an orange tube dress with a neck tie and it is adorable. I wish I would gotten both dresses in XL instead XXL them seem a little big. I am hoping that will fix itself when I wash them. My normal size is 16.

I bought a bra from Victoria's Secret that is a LIFESAVER in the summer time.

You can wear it 7 ways (classic, one shoulder, halter, strapless, v-front, crisscross, crossback) AND it comes with regular and clear straps. :thumbsup2

For dresses/tops with really thin straps, I just put on the clear straps and then wear it however the shirt/dress is designed (classic or halter).

I went and did get 1, I don't even see it on the website but its a teal color and it had the thick straps and I don't need the cami under that one.
BUt still the ON that I went to did not have a large selection and I think after I clean up the dinner mess I may run over the one in the mall and check out what they have.
...plus I was nervous while in ON and couldn't concentrate :rotfl:
the manager kicked out 3 older women (I mean probably my age,25, and older, they weren't KIDS or TEENS) b/c they were stealing. And one of ladies was threatening to punch the manager in the face (I can't even tell you how many times the F word was thrown around)...the manager escorted them out and the cops came lol....I just wanted to shop today and thats what I got. :lmao:

I'm not big on top either. I swear by Victoria's Secret miracle bra as it pushes together & enhances what little I have.

Last year, I bought a Calvin Klein strapless bra from a TJ Maxx type store, where they were deeply discounted. I loved it so much , I went back and bought FOUR more. (3 nude & one in black. :woohoo: If they had a white one, I would have bought that too.) It has underwires & most importantly: boning on the side, so this strapless bra STAYS UP! The girls remained nice & high. :thumbsup2 I never had to do that surreptitious, hiking the strapless bra up, that you know everyone sees anyway. I got to wear any type of top I wanted to last summer. :cheer2:
