Old Magic Bands, New Reservation

Can we use our old Magic bands from a trip in Feb for an upcoming trip in December? My Disney Experience keeps asking me to customize my Magic Bands, which makes me wonder if we're going to be getting another set.

Yes you can use the old ones and yes you are going to get a new set. If you don't customize you will be offered grey ones at the resort.

We have 6 sets with more on the way.

That is a really good idea! Like a pp we have many in many different colors. Personally I set out to "collect all the colors!" ... yeah well I did that so when Olaf was available for purchase I went for that. I really hope Disney keeps adding character/special bands for purchase. I like them and clearly it makes money so I would assume given this they would be all about it.

You don't personalize so you only have the ones from the previous stay. When you get to the resort they offer the gray/generic ones. You say we will use the ones we have. Back the box goes in the area to be handed out to someone else. The gray ones won't have your name or anything on it, not even on the box containing them. I have one rather dirty looking yellow MB since all this started and many stays under my belt.


You want new ones sent you personalize them in MDE and there you go you get new ones.

We are DVC and have had to split a stay made close to the time of reservation. Three different resorts in a week's time - 3 sets of bands. Not to count the ones we already have.

Will they activate multiple per person if you ask? We just got our new set for next month, but DW likes her color from last year (I got new colors this year just to have them). If I brought last year's set and this years, will they activate both for each person or do we have to choose?

Probably something during the beginning of a "test" phase who knows ? Not how it works now though, of course things could change by the second, and often do

There's nothing to activate. Just bring both sets and use whichever ones you want.
