Old magic bands and memory maker

I have a trip coming up with Memory Maker, and have a 2 year old specialty haunted mansion magic band I was planning to wear. My understanding is the battery on the long-range sensor may or may not be dead.

My question is, if my husband wears his (new) magic band, and rides with me, will the photos automatically link up to memory maker, even though I'm the "owner" of the memory maker? He is in my friends and family list on MDE.

I have read a bit about memory maker, and I am under the impression that they still should link in, but last time we went, we were put in seats 3 and 4 for space mountain and the photo I was in linked automatically but the photo my husband was never did.

I don't mind tapping the picture at the end but would be disappointed if the videos and photos with no tap option were missing after paying so much!
