Old key west room request ?

I just did my dads online check in for old key west. He has a room near hospitality house booked. I requested second floor with canal view. Where will this put him? I just want him close to the pool and bar but with a great view. Did I pick the correct requests? Any advice would beappreciated!

Unfortunately there are no villas with a view of the canal in the Hospitality House area. It's unfortunate that online check-in is so poorly done. Check this thread and post one for a map of OKW.

What would you suggest as another selection for the online check in? How far are the rooms that are in the hospitality house section? I can't really tell how close they are! Thanks so much for the info!!

We've never booked Hospitality House area. However, we've been on the second floor of buildings 16 and 17, a very short walk to the main building. Here's our view from building 16-

We have stayed at OKW many time and always book HH. I agree, view is not really much of an option. We too like to be near the main pool, and always request it and rarely get it. We like buildings 11-12, but seldom get those request. They always seem to want to put us over the bridge in that section of HH. It's not a bad walk, it just looks that way.

Hi. Question regarding making a room request view and building choice. My friend who has DVC booked us a Studio on the phone. She doesn't do it on line. So, I have the room reservation number and her DVC member number, how do I make a room request on line?

You can link the reservation to your MDE account. Then, I think 60 days out, you'll see a link to do online check in. When you do that there will be an area to put in up to 2 requests. Otherwise any request you want done before that will have to be done by your friend as MS will only speak with them about the reservation.

If you really want a specific room or building, call OKW directly and make the request. We ran in to that trouble in March when we wanted a specific building that we had requested through DVC Member Services who never relayed the message to OKW. Long story short, we got told to OKW and put the building/room request in to get a better guarantee.
