Old key west resort questions?

I have a few as we've never stayed here before.

1.How do the buses work there?
2. Is it worth stayed further from hospitality house just for a refurbished room?
3. I ask the above question because we have 3 kids with us, one is 4, one turns 3 whilst we are there and the other is will turn 5 months old out there, so would it really be worth the longer walk for a refurb room. (I ask this because the main pool with the slide is better suited to their age).
4. In what order do the buses pick up and drop off. Again I ask because my health isn't great, fractured spine, degenerative disc disease and issue with my hips follow my last pregnancy, plus a slipped disc, also suffer with intracranial hypertension which can have an effect on me physically as it causes balance issues (this is an issue on buses if I'm standing), however using a wheel chair isn't an option as I need to keep active else everything stiffens up and causes even more issues lol. So what would be the best stop nearer to HH where we would be likely to get a seat on the bus? coming back isn't a concern as such because we would just let people on front of us and wait for the next bus to enable us to get a seat. Not so fussed on the way back as we won't be missing out on valuable park time

Hope someone can answer these for me, am happy for any or all input

1. Deleted because the poster below is correct - and I wasn't. :)
2. Can't say. That's subjective.
3. Ditto. Each visitor has to determind on their own. That said, there is the internal bus route i described.
4. See # 1. The "best" bus stop doesn't really exist except early in the morning. Guests returning from parks are exiting the buses at each stop, followed by guests boarding.

The bus route is Peninsular Road, South Point, Turtle Pond, Millers Road and Hospitality House for theme parks. For internal or Disney Springs (if you don't take a boat), it's Hospitality House, Millers Road, Peninsular Road, South Point, Hospitality House.

We are actually requesting a non-renovated room for our December trip because we want to have the Key West vibe versus the Hampton Inn vibe. Once they complete Turtle Pond and South Point areas, my guess is that they will go to Peninsular Road area (just across the Trumbo Canal and the bridge from the Hospitality House). Peninsular Road (27, 28 and 29 - non-HH area booking) will be close to the first bus stop. 23-26 are HH-area booking category. So with 27-29, you will be fairly close to the main pool and the first bus stop. Returning from the parks, lots of people get off at the first stop and walk back to their areas instead of riding around the resort.

I think you should try for near HH. Location is much better for you and I have stayed in the older rooms and liked them

That is a booking category for DVC points stays. Those would be Bldg 11-14 and 23-26.

We stayed a few years back on $, non-points, but were near HH- not sure what the category was called, so I defer to the experts on that!
