Hello, We're staying at Old Key West for the first time in October and I looking for some advice on which building to request.

Initially I was going to book HH category but thanks to the great advice on here about there only being access to the bathroom via the master bedroom I decided against it.

We still want a building that's quite central and close to the main pool with a nice view and was wondering what the best building would be?

Thanks Andrea x

You would need buildings numbered 30 and above for the bathroom access. 62,63, and 64 would be close to the main area, but not sure how easy it would be to get those specific buildings. You may wish to request Turtle Road. It is in the middle of the resort and has a quiet pool at the end. I am not sure how the busses are running now, but before you could hop any bus and it would take you to the main area.

as pp say the only building close to the main pool w/extra entry to bathroom is 62, 63, 64

the others are not close to the main pool - now I like south point - building 55 or 56. It takes about 10 minutes to walk over to the HH area.

Thanks, I will take another look at the map and have a look at turtle road!

I don't mind a 10 minute walk! Can I ask why do you like South Point?

Thanks for all your input, it's really helping with deciding what building to request.

This is exactly the question I was going to ask. We'll also be at OKW in October and since our kids will be in the living room, we'd prefer they have access to the bathroom without going through the bedroom. I also decided against requesting HH for that reason. I'm going back and forth on whether to request an area or just take our chances since we've never been there. Looking forward to hearing more responses!

The best location and views at OKW are definitely buildings 45 and 46, and they are a quick (less than 5 minute) walk to HH and the main pool. I know it looks far, but I've walked it many times in 5 minutes or less and I'm in my mid 60's.

Are the views of the golf course in these buildings?

I thought it looked far too but if it's only 5 minutes that's fine.

I'm a little concerned about the lack of an actual food court at OKW so u expect we will just travel to Port Orleans for breakfast and maybe we don't need to be as close to HH as I first thought!

No, the views are of the canal.

Here is a photo from a 2 bedroom balcony in building 45.

We stayed bldg 56 South Point in February it was a great location...If...you have small children just be aware the pool near South Point doesnt have life jackets...you need to go to the community hall for them so that was a bummer for us BUT you couldnt beat 10 steps to the bus maybe 20 to the playground and pool
