Old Key West Busses

How are the busses for OKW? Havent been able to find (easily) a thread on them. We are going to be lodging there in March.....

In multiple trips to OKW, never had a problem with the buses. Check over on the DVC Boards for OKW info.

We stayed there in December 12 to 19th 09 and never had a problem. I thought they were great, never crowded ran often. We usually stay at CBR so I was pleasantly surprised. Have Fun you will love OKW. So much Room

WE STAY AT OLD KEY WEST EVERY YEAR, OUR DVC HOMERESORTS ARE BOARDWALK AND SARATOGA BUT OUR FAVOURITE IS OKW. WE FIND THE BUS SYSTEM FANTASTIC. THEY GO THRU THE WHOLE RESORT. MANY BUSES GO THRU IN THE MORNING ABOUT EVERY 5 MIN. BUT YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU BUS COMES THRU BUT WE SOMETIMES CHANGE PLANS AS WE ARE SITTING AT STOP AND GO TO DIFFERENT PARK IF THAT BUS COMES FIRST . iVE USED THE BUS IF WE ARE AT THE BACK END OF OLD KEY WEST TO GET TO MAIN BUILDING, THATS USUALLY LAST STOP BEFORE IT LEAVES SO I GET ON ANY BUS TO GO TO MAIN BUILDING. BY THE WAY MAYBE OUR PATHS WILL CROSS WE ARE ALSO GOING IN MARCH TO OLD KEY WEST

You should be fine March will be busy. We stayed there in off season in Sept. with our grand gathering busses were horrible waited hour sometimes and had to call from the phone. No one will stay there again during off season due to this reason. Everyone in our party dreaded turtle pond bus dpot. In the regular season never had a problem with the buses!

I personally prefer to have a car at OKW. For the time you wait at the stop and the bus goes to the other stops, you could be at the park.
