Hi, all!

I am going to WDW in Jan '04. I went in July '94, and still have 3 days left on a 5 day hopper. (HS grad trip with friends, all they wanted to do was hang out at the pool!) Can I trade this in toward a new 5 day hopper? I hate to waste it, but I really want to do Animal Kingdom (not there at the time) and Pleasure Island, etc. How is this done, if at all? Can I do it before I leave home or there?

Thanks!
Karen

I think the amount you would get to trade and upgrade would be the prorated (minus 2 days) 1994 price. I think you would be better off just using it...the restriction that excluded AK entrance on old tickets has been lifted, so you could use it for that park, too.

I recently traded in a old 4 day pass with one day used from 1991. All they did was swap the old 4 day with a new 4 day with barcode and voided one of the days (the one we used in 1991)
There were no extra charges - just a straight swap.
I would assume with your's they will do the same, just give you a new 5 day pass and void out two of the used days.
You need to do this at Guest Services at any of the parks.
Even if your 1994 passes have a bar code, I would still check with Guest Services to ensure it still works.
There is no problems using pre-MGM or pre-AK passes to now get into those parks.
I was really anticipating a problem with my passes, but it took all of 3 minutes to swap the old for the new.
Good luck!

I had some days left over from a trip in 1994. I just asked for the pass to be transferred to the new media, and they had no problem doing it for me. It was 2 less days of passes to buy!

If you trade in the pass on a new five day pass, all you will get is credit for approximately 60% of the original purchase price.

You can trade it in for a three day Parkhopper and it will allow you access to AK at no extra charge.

Then you can pay for a two-day pass. However, with this type of pass you can (a) only go to one park each day, and (b) must use the second day withing four days of the first use. If you will be using a total of five days during your visit, and two days without park hopping, this is the best value.
