I hope this is in the right spot if not Moderator, please move.

My parent are very old fashion, they do not have a computer, even though I have offered to help them set up and use. They still pay there bills in person if they can, I finally got them to use get a debit card, for grocery, gas and other purchases. It took me over a year to convince them. Not that anything is wrong with this, it just make things more challenging. :confused3 But they do not or I should say will not give out the credit card info. I have had book other things and purchased other things for them, and they just pay me back for whatever it is.

So here's the challenge;
They want to book a trip to WDW, but want me to plan it and book it for them. So I don't have a problem doing this.
But they are Florida residents, and want the Fl. resident rates for the package offers.... I live in Ga.

So can I book their trip using their info, and my credit card? I know they will have to show their ID when checking in. Can this be done? Book a trip with one name and use a credit card with another?

I never attach a CC when I book. I wait until we are there to attach a card, for charging to the room. Do they have to attach a CC to the room? I can't see them doing it, they will just pay out of pocket for tips and such.

Thanks way in advance... pixiedust: I need some pixie dust for this.... Challenge.;)

I suggest you call 1-407-wdisney and talk directly to a CM. You can book a trip and pay by check. They will send you the paperwork and you have 7-10 days to send the check. The check will have their Florida address on it. Otherwise ask the CM if you can use your CC for it. If they do Room only they pay the balance upon arrival. If a package must be paid 45 days before arrival. You do not have to attach a CC but then you must pay OOP for everything and go to the front desk to checkout.

couldnt you book online, pay with your cc deposit, they pay ou back and they send a check for the rest. this way at least you are holding online what they want.

I know you can pay with a check. Or as suggested just call.
I only prefer online as I am visual person and like to SEE and play with the numbers by changing my options.

Yes, it can be done, BUT, my experience booking a room for my father was that all future offers that came to my email were for my father and not me. If I had to do it again I would mail a check for the deposit if that can still be done..I would call reservation center and ask!

The reservation can be paid with anyone's cc, so you can book it under their name and use your cc to pay. This can be done for any other reservation and shouldn't be any different with them being FL residents. Like you said, if they are using a FL resident discount, they will have to show ID when they check in to verify they are entitled to the discount, but it doesn't matter who paid for the stay. A cc is put on file at check in if the guest wants room charging privileges, so if they will just pay cash for everything while there, no cc is needed.

Thanks so much this puts everything into perspective. I was hoping that would be a case. Many thanks :thumbsup2
