Old Dreams OBC structure

Does anyone have a copy of this? This cruise we got half of what we had expected. We had a number written down, so just curious if the error was on us or not.

Any chance you transferred your reservation vs. going through them from the start? DCL changed commission structure last year, and I believe many TAs will only offer about half OBC on transferred reservations because of that.

We did transfer, but it was in January well before DCL changed the policy, unless they cut existing reservations that hadn't sailed yet too. I took it as the new rates were for cruises transfered after the date they posted the new numbers.

The old onboard credit structure used to be the same as their current normal booking structure, I believe. So if you look at this table, it used to be that there was only one rate (the left side of the table) and now there are two so it's probably half what you were thinking: http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/specials.htm#sbc

If you booked on board prior to the reduction in TA's commission, you should have gotten the one on the left (same as new bookings).

Edit to add: I see that you transferred your reservation. I am not sure what the rates are for transfers. I would contact them just to clarify.

I suggest checking with your agent. I recall reading somewhere that they'd had to make a hard decision.
