I know that disney tickets don't expire. We have some from our last trip--Each has a park day and I think they each have a couple of the plus options also. I think I read some where that you can turn your tickets in and put the cost of what is left on them toward new tickets. Does anyone know if that is still true. I don't think we will use any of the options, so saving them doesn't really do any thing for us. Can you call Disney and give them your ticket codes and do this over the phone or does it have to be in person? We just used our tickets in May and we plan to go again next month--i know the price has changed but not to dramatically.
thanks

You have to do this in person. I would use the day left on your ticket since you bought it at a lower price than today's admission. Keep those plus tickets, you never know when they might come in handy.

I would second what Safetymom said. The ticket value is based on what you paid, not what they are going for now. You would be smarter to keep them, you may end up using them at a later time. Purchase your new ones for when you are going & have used your old ones up.

another question--The passes were originally 5 day park hoppers--I have one day left, can I add more days to the tickets when I get there--keeping them hopper days or if we plan to only visit the park for two or three days would I have to get individual tickets. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks for all your help!

I have the same qustion. We left the parks early on our trip this August due to Hurricane Francis and are returning this week. We have 2 days left but need 1 more park hopper. I can't find a place to just purchase a 1 day park hopper. Any suggestions? This must be a common thing.

I do not think that you can add a day onto your hoppers? You could always just keep the ones you have & buy new ones. Combine both of your "left over days" and you can use them on a third trip?????? They will not expire, and only increase in price. Almost like buying a future vacation at todays price :smooth:

Unfortunately you can't "add" days to your hopper passes.

Let's run through a couple scenerios and I'm going to completely make up prices to show you what I mean.

Let's say that you took your original trip, you bought your 5 day hopper pass for $200 that makes each day on your trip worth $40. So if you had one day left the value you could put towards a new ticket is $40.

now let's say that same 5 day hopper pass is $250 to buy it today. That makes each day worth $50. So if you trade up your old ticket you are "losing" money.

Only you can say if the "loss" is worth the "saving" but in most cases I'd say not.

and yes, this definitely has to be done in person at a guest service area.

They do not sell one day hoppers or two day hoppers. Sometimes web sites like ticketmania offer 3 day hoppers but there is no way to predict when or if they will (these tickets are made available for special events at WDW too).

So you invest in new 5 day hoppers and just collect the unused days or you could combine the unused days so maybe at least one person in your group wouldn't have to buy new tickets. Or you can rearrange your tour plans so that you don't have to hop.
