I was going through some files of mine and found my old 4 day 3 park hopper pass with only one day used. Can I exchange this for an updated ticket or am I out of luck. If I can exchange it how do I go about doing this.

Thanks to all

It is my understanding that Disney passes never expire.

you can't "exchange" them...but you can USE them.

if you have any doubt, go to guest services at a park and they'll double check that you do have days on it.

otherwise - pop that puppy into the turnstile and enjoy your day!

I was under the impression that you actually MUST exchange the old paper tickets for the plastic passes at guest services. I'm pretty sure the old ticket media won't work in the FastPass machines. Lob a call to (407) WDW INFO and check to be sure what you're supposed to do.

You can definitely "use" them - but you might have to go to Guest Relations and have a more updated ticket issued to use with their equipment. You can't use it at AK though since it wasn't part of the deal when you bought them. I'm pretty sure - but I haven't done this - that you can get credit for them towards a new park hopper if you want to be able to go to all 3 - but I'm not sure at what rate and if it's a good deal or not.

It's not a good deal and hardly, if EVER, is.

They apply whatever it was you paid for the pass toward a new one. So if you only paid $100 for that pass, and you used a day, you'd only get a $75 credit. ($100 / 4 days = $25/day).

I just used old passes this past Feb. and if the tickets have a magnetic strip on them they will just go through the turnstile - even if they are the paper kind. If they are the real old ones with the date stamped on the front, you hve to turn them in at guest relations and they issue new tickets which were the paper kind with a bar code on the back. I was lucky this past trip, I had enough days left over from past trips that I didn't need to buy a pass for myself however, they did tell me when I called prior to leaving for FL that the passes would not be good at any park that wasn't open when the original pass was bought. When I exchanged my old passes for new ones the man never said anything about where I could use them. We didn't plan on going to animal kingdom so I never tried it but I really think that the new passes( which said one day hoppers on them) would have been good anywhere. It is a much better deal to use the days then upgrade because of the price difference, IMO. HTH! Chris.

Actually, they can be used for AK, they lifted that old restriction about 6 months after AK opened.
They can use the date stamped ones at the turnstyles, they can use them for a fast pass, the CM has to issue it, but it is valid for FP.
They can also turn them in for new passes with the magnetic strip at any guest services window.

Shows how trusting my mom and I are! She had some old ones and we just didn't even try them at the AK because that's what we were told when AK opened!!

LOL, well, I guess enough people complained and they lifted the restriction. Nice move on Disney's part.
