My computer can't handle the search engine so I am hoping someone can tell me if the old code for 40 % off a package that included a park hopper plus waterpark ticket and dining plan gave us a discount on the ticket price? I booked 2 packages and had a base ticket on each package. I decided to change package 2 to 4 days while the code was still valid. I have been paying on the 1st package regularly and the 1 day ticket that was listed was a hopper plus waterparks fun ticket. I happen to look at the other package recently online and it just listed a 4 day hopper base so I am not sure if I lost a discount on the park ticket or if it was regular price? I talked to a CM and after being gone along time she came back and said there wasn't a discount on the ticket. Well I never would have taken a park hopping waterpark ticket if it wasn't part of the 40% off code since I have no interest in the watreparks and won't do much park hopping. So please tell me if the park ticket was part of the 40% off package code.
Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!!:)

Itwas strictly 40% off the room (or the room portion of your package). There was no discount on any other element of the package. I'm sure you were charged for the extra park hopping and water parks. we can help you figure out exactly what you were charged for if you give us an exact breakdown of what you are doing -
Dates
Adults
Juniors
Children
Ticket Length
Ticket type
Resort
Room category
DDp?

The 40% off discount was not in anyway predicated on having the waterparks fun and more option. Nor was that included in the promotion. If you wanted it, you had to pay the normal rate for that ticket option.

You may be getting confused with the code that gave you a free waterpark fun and more ticket upgrade.. but that cannot be combined with the 40% offer.

Thanks for the great responses. When I booked the 2 packages I only asked for a 1 day base ticket for each package so I could get the dining. I never asked for the park hopper/waterpark ticket since I had no interest in it yet that is what my online reservation said I had with both packages. The CM I
talked to did change my one reservation from the park hopper/waterpark ticket to a basic one day ticket and that saved me some money but they haven't changed my 4 day hopper to a one day basic ticket like they were suppose to on the other package. I am going to see if I can get a cheaper ticket from AAA if WDW isn't giving me a discount on the ticket I may just get the ticket from AAA.
Thanks again!!!!!:)

You can't get the ticket from someone else and still have a package. If you are purchasing a 1 day ticket with the package it will be significantly more to buy a ticket from somewhere else even with a discount.

AAA offers something like a 5% ticket on some tickets. So on a $200 ticket (most base tickets more than 3 days are somewher close to 200) you would end up still paying 190. places like undercovertourist.com probably do a little better than that.

I booked the 40% code last Feb. for our trip in December ...
I was wondering if I could call and get the room changed from a pool view w/bunks to a standard CL at the AKL ... with all the construction going on there I think we would be better off being in a club room. I tried to call guest services and left a message just saying that we were concerned about the construction but no one has called back ... that was 16 days ago.
Thanks for any information ...

Thanks for the responses. If I do find a park ticket any cheaper than the 4 day park hopper pass from WDW I may just get the one day ticket with my MYW package ans save it for my next trip. I am able to get a corporate discount rate on WDW tickets from work with extra days for free so I will just need to do the math and figure out what the best deal will be.
Thanks for all your help!!!!!:)

How do you know what your pin entitled you to?
I received a pin in June and thougth it was for room only. Nowhere did it say how much the discount was for or what it was limited to.
I called back and added 7 days base tickets. When they gave me the price I had calculator in hand and realized i was getting a discount on the tickets as well.

I even had one CM tell me I could not pay for the DIning package with my PIN, and when I called back and got another CM she added it with no problem.

When I ask the CMs what discount i have they cannot tell me...they only tell me my package price and I figure out what the room/tickets etc. break down to. Yes, it is confusing and takes time but in my experience doing your own calculations is the only way to figure it out. (I started with room only so knew how much extra the tickets were costing when I added them on)
Keep in mind you can get different answers from different CM's, so keep calling until it makes sense.

It is extremely unlikely you were getting a discount on your tickets. However if you look at listed prices of disney tickets in some places you will see several different numbers
1 - gate price with tax
2 - gate price without tax
3 - normal advance purchase price with tax
4 - normal advance purchase price without tax

You will also see listed that adding a park hopper costs $45 (plus tax) and adding on water parks and more costs $50 + tax for a total of $95 plus tax. However when calculating advance purchase tickets these prices actually go down with the length of your ticket....
From Disneyworld.com (no tax)-
3 day - 192
3 day hopper + wp - 287 -
A difference of 95 as stated above, yet
7 day - 210
7 day hopper + wp -288
A difference of only $78. That's $17 less than what they tell you the add on cost is for these features.

I would think that what you are thinking looks to be a savings on the tickets was actually comming from comparing two different things.
