OLCC - River Island

I called the resort three weeks ago to confirm that River Island will be open when we go. The person on the phone said it is scheduled to open sometime in April 06. Even if they delay the opening a little, it should be open by the time you go in August

We were there last week in the East Village towers. I can't imagine that River Island will be open anytime soon- all we saw was dirt and trucks- but you never know! My kids were pretty dissapointed with the Splash Lagoon- we ended up going to Liki Tiki for the afternoon- Good Luck!

krismom:
if you don't mind my asking, how much did it cost to go to Tiki Liki for the afternoon (adults and kids rate), and how did you arrange it?
Thank you

The Liki Tiki is a Marriott resort- so depending on where you are staying- if it's a "sister" resort its free. For us (we were at OLCC) it was $20.00 for the carful. This was cheaper than an afternoon at Typhoon Lagoon where my kids only play in the Ketchikdee creek area. Anyway, you just pay at the gate and they even provided towels! Have Fun!

Wow, thanks for the info.

We will be at OLCC mid-December .
We will keep it it mind.
What a great price.

It is a resort that has a small on-site waterpark.
I have never stayed there but looking at the web site it looks like a fun place to spend an afternoon for $20/car.
