Olaf Meet n Greet

Yes- he's still there. They are doing an Olaf snow fest for the holidays so I doubt he's going anywhere anytime soon

We met him 3 times last week. 2 times we where te only people there. The third time we met him because we thought it was said he was there al alone :)

The closed Olaf's Snow Fest a while ago, but he meets outside of that building (between the building that housed Olaf's Snow Fest and Monster's Inc.). He's kind of tucked out of the way and easy to miss.

when we were there last week, there were only about 5 people in line for him.

Including one kid that that told his mom he was going to punch him in the nose....and despite mom telling him that wouldn't be a nice thing to do, he did it anyway....right in the carrot.

I wish I had been filming it......

Hmmmm based on all of the above, me thinks people may be getting tired of Frozen!!! Too bad Disney is feeling the need to continue to push it down everyone's throats! My 9 year old niece and her friend, who I am taking to DL next weekend, both have told me emphatically that they are so over Frozen! LOL

But, I do want to meet Olaf! He's my favorite part of Frozen! hehehehe :)

Wahahaha! Yes, that would be one of the greatest youtube vids of all time. You know all the Frozen haters would be posting it til they're old and gray.

I have say, I don't really see anything funny in a child punching someone (whether it's a costumed character or if it had been a face character or just some other guest). It seems like very poor behavior and not something that should be encouraged or even promoted as being funny, entertaining, etc.

My kid would have got his butt spanked that is so disrespectful and he would have found out big time that is not the way to act. OK because of all those ppl who would scream child abuse i wouldn't whoop his butt but he would be dragged out the line and the park and he would lose out on fun for the next day at least. Who ever thinks its funny is just as bad as the kid.

I for one still love frozen

That's horrible! I feel so bad for CMs who have to put up with that crap from rude guests.

Thanks for all the info. My friend is coming out for the first time in a year and he LOVES Olaf and I was so hoping he'd still get to meet him :) This will make him very happy.

You right he is tucked away and is easy to miss. I had to ask where he was located.

I think he is doing meet and greets and Disneyland and not WDW is because Disneyland has more locals so when they have met him it wouldnt be as high priority to meet him again where as an international visitor at WDW, that would be higher up for their list of things to do.

I wonder what the wait times would be if he was ever brought to WDW?

I have to admit that I thought he'd be introduced as a meet and greet character last summer when DHS rolled out the "Olaf's Summer Cool Down" at DHS. It's interesting to me who does and does not meet at each of the resorts.

Originally he did have long waits and you had to have a FP to meet him. But how many times do you need to meet the same character if you're local? I imagine it's mostly tourists meeting him now. And that area of the park is generally pretty abandoned. If they had him in a more open spot he may still be more popular. I wouldn't be surprised if the lines get longer to meet him again when the snow play area comes back. Then again, maybe people will just want to play in the snow and not meet him...

We will be there in either June or July and I hope he is still doing M&Gs then, we would love to meet him...even though I am kind of done with Frozen.

We went Oct 27th and no one was in his line. The CMs and Olaf seemed excited someone was visiting them. Our kids had a great interaction with him and no one was punched. The park was dead most of the day, no one was in line for Anna and Elsa either.

We met him with no wait at park open last Wednesday right after meeting Anna/Else with no wait and right before seeing the Sing-a-long in a more than half empty theater.

It was an awesome day to be in DCA!
