We will be staying at a two bedroom villa at OKW 10/18-10/21. Which room request should we make and how can we do that?

Thank You!:D

OKW is beautiful and its one of our favorite places to stay at WDW. I love how peaceful, and quiet OKW is.... especially after a hectic day in the parks.

I recommend you request a top floor unit, if no one in your party has trouble w/ climbing stairs. The view is better, units are only 2 or 3 levels high.

As far as which unit, what are your prefrences -- water view, golf green/fairway, near a bus stop, near a pool, smoking of non-smoking unit?

Here is a link to the resort map http://wdwig.com/okwmap.jpg
you can enlarge it

We had a second floor unit (top floor) Building 37, at the turtle crawl area. I thought it was an ideal location. It was a short walk to bus stop, pool, hot tub, and snack bar. The view was of the 5th green.

I basically called OKW and put in my requests.

If you need additional info, just ask. You will love OKW!

We just stayed in OKW. Have to agree... It is Fantastic!!!

You can get lots of information on OKW on the DVC board, too. The resort is very big and has different areas for the villas. If you want to stay up near the Hospitality House and be in walking distance to the bigger pool, then ask for the Hospitality House area or Pennisular Road area. If you rely on the transportation, than Pennisular Road is great since it is the first stop out of five and if you miss that bus, just walk to the Hospitality House (a few minute walk) and catch that same bus before it heads out to the parks.

If you like it more quiet, Turtle Pond and South Point offer that quiet feel. Both areas have a pool close by. Turtle Pond pool has a snack shack there.

There are different views from your balcony/porch, woody, golf course, or water ways. I have young kids, so we prefer the water way views only so they can feed the ducks during down time at the resort.

Have a great trip. I don't think you will ever want to go back to a regular hotel room after staying in one of DVC's two bedroom villas.

When we stayed at OKW in a 2 bedroom, upon arrival I requested a building with an elevator and top floor if they had it. They had both and didn't have a problem with either request. :Pinkbounc

I prefer staying near the Hospitality House, since this is where the action (laid-back action, that is) is.
Try a two-bedroom in building 26 or 23. See if there are 2-bedrooms in building 62, which is one of the newest buildings to be fixed up for accommodating. Building 62 used to be called "The Commodore House", which was where you would be taken on that tour for DVC. This location was chosen specifically TO SELL vacation points, so you KNOW it's got to be a great location.
The folks at OKW really try to be as accommodating as possible with your room requests. Have fun, and have a "Turtle Crawl" drink at the pool for me!
All the best, Wilma:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
