If u don't mind not being real close to the main pool/Olivia's/gift shop, I suggest requesting water view. The building we were in when these pics were taken was #45. You can see from the balcony photo what a nice view we had---it was of the canal leading to DD. Very nice view. There are other very nice water views as well, but this was one of our favorites.
Hi heimlichfan.....
It depends on what you prefer.
If you have a lockout, you'll get a kitchenette outside the second bathroom (small kitchen area, microwave and a small frig). In the dedicated 2 bedroom, in place of that kitchenette, you'll get a vanity/sink area outside the 2nd bathroom as well as an extra closet in that bedroom.
Also, if this is important to you (i.e. young children in the second bedroom), the lockout will have a second entrance in the second bedroom part. In the dedicated 2 bedroom, there is only the main door and no second door off the second bedroom. We, personally prefer the dedicated. The lockout might be preferable to those traveling with grandparents or another adult couple because they could have their own entrance and the kitchenette.
Also note....all 1 and 2 bedrooms , the master bathroom can only be accessed by entering the master bedroom in buildings #'s 30 and below. Older buildings are 30 and below. Any buildings above #30 will be able to access the master bathroom via the laundry room as well if this is important.
The photos in my post above are of a "dedicated" 2 bedroom.
I'm having a hard time deciding where to request. I put in an intial request for a building near Peninsular Road because I thought that was the first bus stop. Is this a good area? I'd like to be near a pool and the first bus stop so we don't have to be worried about not getting a seat.
Is there a huge difference between the older buildings (30 & below) and the newer ones? Should I be more concerned with getting a new one?
I just posted pictures of the OKW pool on my website. Click the link in my signiture and then click on the Vacations tab on my site. The Pictures are high res so it may take a while to download if you have dial up.
