We always try to stay in non-smoking buildings right around the HH (buildings 11, 13, 14). Even tho' they are the original buildings, they are convenient to the main pool, and yet are fairly quiet. They overlook a lot of vegetation, golf course, water areas. It feels very private, yet its a quick walk across the parking lot to HH, general store, main pool, boats to Downtown Disney, etc. Regarding pools, we spend 1/2 our time at the main pool (which also has shuffle board which the kids enjoy), and Turtle Pond. Turtle Pond is pleasant, a little less hectic, but a good sized pool, nice play area, and snack bar. Since we rent a car, we usually drive from HH area to the pool, but the bus is convenient as well.
