OKW vs. SSR

We just got back from staying at SSR, our first deluxe stay and we loved it! We had a 1 bedroom villa for 4 adults and it was amazing!! I requested a room in Grandstand and it was the perfect location. We have a trip planned for June 2017 and right now we have a party of 8(4 little ones), possibly adding one more so I booked a 2 bedroom villa at OKW.
Will I like it as much?? I am really torn because I have read how spread out the resort is. (we wont have a car) We booked with a military discount so changing later might not be a possibility due to availability, which is why I went with OKW over SSR.
So tell me the good and the bad!!! Do you love it and why?? Hate it and why??

If you liked SSR, OKW's spread won't bug you. The spread-out nature frequently is a complaint about SSR too.

Did you book Near Hospitality House? Not sure that is a category for a cash booking.

Hi. Did you book a specific view? OKW only has one feature pool, I know SSR has a few great feature pools.

OKW 2nd bedroom has 2 beds, whereas SSR has one bed and a sofabed. Which one would you think would work best for you?

If you plan to eat and spend some time in the room, you'll have so much more room at OKW. You'll have a sofa, love seat and chair vs. a sofa and chair at SSR. You have a full dining table with chairs at OKW, vs. a smaller table with less room at SSR. Much bigger kitchen, with an island at OKW too.

We've tried both and we prefer OKW for the amount of space, I think you get almost 300 more feet in the OKW 1 bedroom vs. SSR. Even your balcony is much larger at OKW.

I was a little disappointed in the pools but if we have 9 people OKW is our only option.
We only had one day at SSR where we waited for a bus. How are they at OKW? Is it convenient to ride the internal bus or just easier to walk? I did see all the buses stop at the HH before leaving so you can ride any bus to the front correct ?

We love, love, love OKW. We really do feel at home at the resort. The rooms are huge, so we all have our own space, but we love all the communal areas which also have a sense of space. Even if we could afford to upgrade to another resort, I don't think I could cope without staying at OKW. Sentimental old fool I am

We will be back at OKW this January. We love the 2BR. So much room, and having that washer/dryer right in the villa is awesome. The Sandcastle pool is going to be closed for refurbishment during our stay, but will be all set by the time you go! They also have two quiet pools, one that has a snack bar right next to it. We request building 28, since it is close to the first bus stop, and has lovely views of the golf course. The balcony is huge, and perfect for us to have our breakfast. Do Garden Grocer for all your breakfast needs, but do go to Olivia's one morning for their great breakfast!

We used Garden Grocer for the first time and loved it!! Was so nice having breakfast in the room. I even made a breakfast casserole!

Hi. The internal bus is also a park bus as far as I know. Every bus stops at HH first and last. OKW is the only resort we like using the bus. Our experience has always been great.

We love South Pointe which is the furthest stop from the front. There's a nice cul de sac, pool with hot tub and bus stop.

I would choose OKW without any doubts. I am not a fan of SSR. Has to much of a condo/apartment complex feel to it for me. OKW décor and appearance much more appealing. Love that I can park the car at the front door. The larger rooms are wonderful. You will not regret your decision to stay at OKW,
