Is it really true that SSR is going to be larger then OKW in size? Does this just mean in the amount of rooms or does it mean total acreage? Can some nice member clarify this for me because I can't imagine another DVC resort being larger/ more spread out then OKW.

Thanks!

more rooms, but same room sizes as BCV, BWV, VWL meaning smaller than OKW.

When completed, SSR will have more rooms than OKW. I'm not sure how actual acreage will play out -- SSR is being built on the DI property which covers quite a bit of area.

My impression was that although there would be a few more total rooms at SSR once all 12 buildings are completed, but not be as spreadout as the sixty something buildings at OKW currently are. Not talking room size, just the resort boundaries.

I'm looking at my giant 'ariel' photograph of WDW, and the two seem very close in size, with OKW being slightly larger.

In my earlier post, I mentioned 60 something bulidings at OKW. Now I don't think that is correct. Although, I know people have said that they have stayed in buildings with numbers in the 60's, I just read that there may only be 49 buildings. If that is right, how are they numbered?

I also read in the same article that SSR would be 65 arces, any one know how big OKW is to compare?

there are 49 building at OKW

I think how big the growth of SSR really depends upon the sales - they are still selling like hot cakes (or DVC would not up their price)

since the rooms are smaller and there is more acreage - yes they could be larger than OKW - but - I am not sure how much will actually go into SSR - there is also the Treehouses - and Disney deciding or not to put another area in the nature part and let DVC also have this - then it could possible be much bigger.

there is enough growth here for quite a while. (or so I believe) -

although since the Treehouses are quite close to OKW - I don't know if they would go to SSR or OKW or back to WDW resorts - and I don't think Disney has decided either. I can't see them adding on to OKW - the rooms would need to be bigger than what they are planning at SSR. the smaller the rooms- the more they can build - the bigger the profit for Disney.

49 Buildings and 531 Homes at OKW is correct. The numbers go from 11-56. Then, the buildings that they built when Commodore House was pulled down are numbered 62, 63 & 64.

SSR is planned to have 552 Vacation Homes

I think the buildings at SSR are taller - 4 or 5 floors? OKW's are 3 floors, some only 2 floors.
