During our OKW stay this October, we'd like to have a photographer come to the resort to take some family photos. Will I need to do anything to make sure she is allowed entrance to the property? I seem to recall that there is a guard gate at OKW. Is it as simple as calling the front desk and telling them we are expecting her? She won't be staying the night, but will have a vehicle to park.

Anyone with experience having guests on property?

I have never run into problems with guests visiting my resort or vice versa. She will need to show her id and maybe have to give your name. Thats it.

It's easy!

At the guard shack they'll need to show government issued photo id's (2), submit to a vehicle and body search, be able to recite the preamble from the constitution from memory, give blood, hair and saliva samples...oh...and give provide a major credit card.
:lmao:

I'm JOKING
you can either get a parking pass from the front desk, or just make sure the photographer knows your name and your room number - he/she maybe asked for id however. If the photographer is only coming once, then I'd skip the parking pass.

Wow - glad to hear it won't require much "strategery," constitutional preamble aside. :-)

Those "guards" are really useless. As long as the guest comes up with a good reason and has an id they are IN. LOL!

Photographer will not need room number, your name etc. Good reason is "I want to visit the gift shop, resturant etc.." LOL!

but they don't. some of my guests wanted to see OKW - and the guard only asked for my driver license - well he didn't really - but had it really.

was not staying on property.

No problem with guests coming in to visit, BUT.... Disney does not allow outside professional photographers in to take pictures at any on site location unless they are employed by Disney. We ran into that problem when we wanted to do wedding photos. If 'they' see you having pictures taken it's against the rules. That would mean that Disney locations are being used for financial gain by someone other than a Disney representative. At least that's what they told us. We weren't planning on formal wedding shots, but just wanted some nice professional shots. We ended up not doing it, because the Disney photogs were too expensive.

I was about to say this... Disney is private property and they do not allow outside photographers do photo shoots, etc
