We just returned from WDW. We stayed 2 days at OKW, a beautiful 2 BR unit. This was our first DVC stay at WDW. We stayed at the Polynesian the first two nights (Fri/Sat) to save points and also to have monorail access to the MK for MNSSHP...
Our Polynesian room was wonderful as ever, but when we moved over to OKW, DH and DS kept saying-"tell me again, why did we stay at the Polynesian?" (I never thought I would say this--but as nice as the Polynesian is, it really pales in comparision to the home away from home, doesn't it?)
DH loved being able to park in front of the Villa. The facilities were great and even inspired DH to cook a bit--and he is even doing menu planning for when we return in Dec (at BCV)!
When we signed up for the room, we only requested non-smoking. We received non-smoking villa on the second floor of bldg 56. We really liked our villa. DH and DS were so in love with the place that they referred to it as their "palatial estate" and were reluctant to leave it to go to the theme parks....
I kept getting congratulated by DH and DS for signing us up for the next 40 years of DVC (I hope this lasts
).
We also stopped by our home resort and took a tour and were given a BCV pin (the tour guide at the open house said that they were going to mail them out to the members as well).
