I have read that OKW does unbirthday parties for kids ages 5-10, does anyone have any information on this.

Has anyone done this for their kids? Do you have any pics? What is the supply fee?

I remember my niece went to this a few years back. I don't remember there being a fee. They had it at Hanks and they played some games, colored, and I want to say they had a cupcake or something like that. I believe it was open to anyone that was at the resort; not a specific child's birthday...thus the unbirthday theme. I will be going in 5 days, so I can check into it for you if no one knows.

Thank you so much. I am taking my niece to WDW in June and this is something she wants to do. Thanks again.

I would love to know what activities are planned on which days while you're there. We're going in a month and I'd love a little notice on which days we could plan some fun things for the kids around the resort!

When I get back, I will start a new thread with all the info in it from Hanks!! I promise. If I don't, pm me to remind me. I will be back on Monday, March 30th.

OK. I gotta take the hook. What's an "unbirthday" party? :confused3

Apparently its a Birthday Party for your Unbirthday. A reason to celebrate the other 364 days in the year. I read that it includes a cupcake, ice cream and games. Not to sure, just read in a guide. I have googled it and I don't get much. So, any info does help.

It is a long time tradition at OKW for the unbirthday party. About 8 years ago my then 6 year old was celebrating his birthday that day. At the "un"birthday party we were told to tell him not to mention it as it is everyones time to celebrate that day. So it was really an "UN" birthday for him that day!:rotfl:
It was OK - the birthday button at the parks made him feel special that day!:wizard:

If you don't mind, post a msg here also so we'll get the notice. Sometimes I can't check in all the time :confused3 and I'll end up missing the new thread. And I'm really interested in getting this info. Thanks so much!!

They have them at VB too! We had one DGC who was too young, so we passed on it last year. We hope to get them in one next year at VB.

Bobbi:goodvibes

DD has done the unbirthday twice, at age 7 and 8 - she decided she was too old last year.

Two words describe the party: noise and sugar! There was a musical chairs sort of game w/the kids making the music and candy as the prize - then they decorate cupcakes and drink punch.

Parents were not allowed to attend the one we did (at VB)

The un-birthday comes from Alice in wonderland where they were with the rabbit and some of the other characters and were celebrating an "un-birthday".

And I do remember at OKW, it was like a sugar fest, I remember the musical chairs, bingo, trivia, coloring, cupcakes, and lots of noise!!! :rotfl:

regarding tennis - the pro teaches at the Grand Floridian as well if you want a different time or day. I usually book lessons when I come down. He is very good.

Cheryl, Thank you so much for this info. There is not a lot out there about the Unbirthday Party!!:worship:

Your welcome. I have to say that the campfire and movie night thing was pretty cool. I noticed that a lot of hotels are doing this now, and it is fun to float around and watch the movie. At the Beach Club, they had it set up on the beach itself over near the entrance to the slide.
