We just got back Saturday, so I want to write a quick report while details are fresh in my mind. We are not DVC members, and this was our first stay at a DVC resort. We traveled on a bonus week through Interval International that we obtained as a perk for depositing one of our Hawaii timeshares. Since we only paid $345 to stay for the week, I didn't feel we should demand certain buildings or views etc. We were assigned a one bedroom on the third floor: #3837. The unit was in great condition. The view left much to be desired since it looked out on some scubby woods, with downed trees and brush left over from the hurricane, and there was a highway beyond. As a minor consolation prize, we had a view of the Epcot fireworks from the unit. Any fireworks that were above the trees gave us an unobstructed view.

The pool slide opened Friday AM and the weather had just turned cooler and rainy so we did not try it out, but it looked very nice. We enjoyed the boat ride to Downtown Disney. As a side note, for those of you who have commented on your love of the Treehouse Villas, you get a much better view of them if you take the boat from Port Orleans to DTD and back. The Christmas decorations were still up throughout all the WDW resorts until about Tuesday. We made the rounds of the GF, WL, etc. to look at the decorations and they were all beautiful. Crowds at the parks were minimal and we walked onto everything with the longest waits being about 10 minutes, and that was rare. We enjoyed the extra hours at MK on Wednesday and the lines were still non-existant even though the crowds appeared larger in the evening. All in all we had a great stay. The exceptional weather added a great deal to our enjoyment. We knew we could not expect more than 65-70 so the daily 80 degree temps were a wonderful bonus to an already exceptional vacation.
