OKW to MK with three little ones and stroller? Is it better to drive to MK and take monorail from OKW with three little ones and stroller or take the bus? Thanks :flower:

We just take the bus with our kids and the stroller when they were in a stroller it really isn't all thawt hard to do even coming home after a long day at the parks open till close basically.

There are always lots of folks with several little ones, and sometimes more than one stroller. I think it would be much easier to take the bus and get off right at the entrance to MK rather than having to schlep your stuff on and off the tram and on and off the monorail. With the bus, it will just be one on and off.

The new buses they have now have a giant isle in the middle with just seats on the sides, a triple stroller or a small car would fit down the middle of these new buses, take the bus to MK from OKW always, it drops you off at the park instead of having to go from transportation center from the parking lot. :cool1: :flower: ::yes::

Well, we like to take the bus to the MK, because it drops you off right in the front. It does mean folding the stroller up and putting it on the bus, but that's not uncommon at WDW. Driving to the parking lot and dealing with the monoraill seems like more of a pain to me.

We have also had breakfats at the WL and then taken the boat over to the MK, leaving our car valet parked at the WL.

We stayed at OKW in January with two little ones and a stroller, and found the bus the easiest.. without a doubt!

The bus drops you off by at the MK park gates, but if you drive, you'll have to unload your car, board the tram to the monorial, and then board the monorail to the MK.

We will never drive to the MK again!

Good luck, and have a great time!

To many opening and closing of the stroller if you drive and take the monorail...I vote for the bus...

Okay, I'll be the one dissident here!

We have a three year-old and we prefer to drive. The reason is, we go early in the morning and we invariably get to park within easy walking distance of the TTC and don't have to tram.

We like driving primarily for the easy exit it provides. Baby Girl can get pretty darn CRANKY at the end of a long day and we don't relish a wait at the bus stop.

Also, we sometimes go early, leave at lunchtime, nap and/or pool for a while in the afternoon, and then go back to one of the parks late afternoon/early evening. (should do that every day, but we never do) For that plan, driving is a lot easier than two round trips on the bus.

We also prefer to drive. Our main reason is... after a long day at the parks, once the kids hit the van... they are home... in a sense. And the best shot we have of the older ones napping is for them to fall asleep in the van. The nice perk of OKW is that it is easier to transfer sleeping children into the room.

Give both a whrill.... bus one day... drive the next.... see which you prefer.

Even if you get one of the newer, wider buses, you will still have to fold up the stroller on board the bus. The bus isn't supposed to move with open strollers on board.

You do not want to take a car to the MK.
You will find that after parking your car, you have to take a tram. After getting off the Tram you then have to take either the Ferry or the Monorail.
Going home, is the same hassle.

Taking the bus, you don't have to transfer modes of transportation.

My brother learned this the hard way. We (myself and his children) decided to take the bus home, and beat him back to the room by over an hour.
Finally his daughter called him, to see why he hadn't returned to the room yet. The line to catch the tram was at least 3 trams long (meaning at least 3 trams would fill up before he got onto a tram).

Maybe if one gets to the parking lot, before being far enough away to need to use the tram, then it works better.

As 4-6 adults with one toddler, we much preferred the bus to MK. We didn't mind driving to Epcot, and preferred to drive to DAK, but with the extra transfer at the TTC, we found the bus a much better option for us.

If you take the bus to MK, when is a good time to fit in a monorail ride for the kids?

when it works for you.

I won't go in early morning - park time is very valueable. How about at the end of the day - or around lunch time?

instead of having lunch at the parks - have lunch at one of the MK resorts - I like the Kona Cafe at the Polyn - they get to ride the monrail to the Polyn.

then after lunch - ride the monrail over to Epcot.
