Any suggestions on which area or building to stay? We are going to be in a 1 bedroom.

call ms back and put golf view on your reservation.

when you check in - remind the front desk you want a golf view - there are several of them - so you should be able to get one.

I did do that - thanks - I was just wondering if one area was better than another. We have never stayed here. We are at BWV. Thanks!

There is no "bad" area of OKW. What is most important to you? Near a pool? Near a bus stop? Near the main area of the resort? A specific view? Top floor? First floor? Elevator building? Smoking? Non-smoking? If anything is important to you, request it, and mention it when you check in. Other than that, I wouldn't worry about it.

Where you stay does not really matter at OKW. All units are close to bus stops and pools. since you are staying in a one bedroom, you should have a nice view of something. OKW is probably the only place you can say that it really does not matter, I am assuming all are healthy.

See you at the Turtle Pond pool this week, spicey cat!! I'll be the big ugly guy with 6 beautiful girls! (DW DD's and friends)

I prefer the turtle pond area,, all the smaller pools are about the same, but turtle pond has a snack bar instead of just machines (even though it closes early) and we like the grill area, we usually take a something to grill on one of the relax days. And it is not a real long way from the main pool and hospitality house.. I wouldn't want to do it all the time but I have walked it.

We also like the Turtle Pond area. We got great water views in 31 & 43, first floor. Golf views can be tricky, a view of a fairway through trees is probably not what you had in mind.

Ditto on Turtle Pond. The pool area is extra nice. We have enjoyed #35 (right on top of the bus stop) and #41 and #43 (right near the pool). All these have a nice lake out back with lots of ducks.

Southpoint is also a favorite area if you like "secluded." One building, #55, is hidden well enough that I drove by it when we were first assigned there. It has the canal behind it and is just beautiful.

We have been all over at OKW and the buildings really are lovely. Each has merit and I hope you'll love it there.

I like the Southpoint area...building 55 & 56 are nice...but it is far from the main area...Hospitality House. It is close to a bus stop and a quiet pool, and the walkway to DD.

Thank you so much Colleen. I believe I will change my request from a golf view to a Water or Pool View. A few people have suggested Turtle Pond area and one person said he stayed in Bldg 55 and just loved the view. I am getting excited even though it is in September. We have stayed at the Boardwalk twice but we heard so many good things about OKW that we decided to stay there. We are in a one bedroom.
