OKW - Studio with no window

Has anyone else experienced this? We are staying in a studio at OKW for the first time, and I was thinking the room was rather dark. Just looking at photos of OKW online, and we seem to be missing a window. We've got patio doors but they are covered with dark blinds and don't let in a lot of light. But on the opposite wall, where there ought to be a window, there's just a large mirror.

I am just curious if there are many studios without a window, or if we have been exceptionally unlucky.

Yes, I got one of those once. I think building 35.

You made me curious so I looked at my pictures of a studio we had at OKW a few years ago. We only had the patio door. I guess I never thought there should be a window as well as the patio door.

Yes, there are a few of them and I think they make the room very dark. :sad2: Luckily, we rarely book a studio for more than a night, so on the two occasions we got such a room, we were gone the next day anyway.

I think I remember reading that the studios are are in the inside of the U shaped buildings don't have the window. If that's correct then it looks like it would happen in 4 buildings - 14, 18, 35 & 38.

We were in building 14 studio (1431) two weeks ago and had a window next to the front door, as well as the doors going out to the patio. We could have lived without the window, since we kept the blinds and curtains closed the whole time for privacy. The roman shades on the doors were a little tough to work with, but looked nice. We really liked the frosted window in the bathroom, as it provided some light to find the bathroom with the other lights in the room off.

Generally, the studios that are located in the ends of the crossbars of the "U" shaped buildings at OKW have no front window.

Yep, you are correct. We also had a room without a window in Building 14--hated it. Sorry OP for your bad luck. I hope you have lots of fairy dust and magical days to make up for it. :flower3:

don't appreciate the roman shades for this reason - they are all up or all down - nothing inbetween like before.

sometimes when you have a room w/o windows - the patio is all you have and it would help if you could open them a little - you can't now it is all or nothing.

so yea - don't like the changes to OKW studios

Thanks for pointing this out.
We have a studio booked for a couple of nights next April pre-cruise, and will definitely request a room with a window.
