OKW Studio stay and towels....

I bring a 'hair' towel for me and my girls to use. It is like that turbi-wrap ( http://www.yoosave.com/turbietwist.shtml ) that was on TV (I got them at Big Lots a while back, and have seen them at TJ Maxx).

The only problem I have is not enough space for towels for the 4 of us AND swimsuits.

But we get by. I must admit, it is the one thing I don't like about the studios. In the 1 and 2 bedrooms we would throw them in the washer and then dry them at night every day.

I guess you could bring extras from home (if you are driving, I wouldn't want to pack that many towels to take on the plane).

P.S. I didn't buy my towels from that website, I just put it there to show you what I was talking about. I like to have a seperate towel for my hair.

Sorry but I'm a rookie.
My family, consisting of 2 adults, a toddler and an infant will be staying for a week at SSR. Is my understanding correct that on day 4 of our vacation we will be given new towels and our room will be cleaned? Does the resort provide towels for the infant? Is soap and shampoo provided and if so is it replenished on day 4 as well? Are toilet paper refills accessible?

If you are only staying 7 nights, you will get clean towels and the trash removed on day 4. If you stay 8 nights, you will get clean towels and a full cleaning on day 4, plus trash and towels on day 8. You will get four bath towels, plus at least two hand towels and two face cloths. I have never been given four of each. You will get more shampoo and soap on trash and towel or full cleaning day. They usually leave a full extra roll of toilet paper in your bathroom. If you need more TP, call the front desk or housekeeping.

I am glad to see your "a towel a day" solution did not include taking pool towels to use in your room. I think that is just wrong.

Try the "hang the towel up after you use it to let it dry and then use it again" plan. You just might find it is not that bad. The environment would thank you.

Oh my goodness! Terrycloth has never been so confusing!

What good does Trash and Towel do on your last day if you're checking out? Isn't this really just restocking for the next occupant? Or are you saying that if you're staying 9 days, you'd get another visit on the 8th day?

It would be the day before you checkout. Check-in day counts as day one. If you are staying 8 nights, you would check-out on day 9, so trash & towel would be the day before on day 8.

Sorry, I'm new to this, too. Just curious. On trash/towel days, do they make your beds, too, or is that only with full service?

Trash & Towel day is just exactly that. Fresh towels, and they collect and take out the trash bags. No beds made, no fresh sheets, no vacuuming.
