OKW Studio Not available prior to 7 months

I just saw on the Resort Availabilty tool that the Saturnday of F&W half Marathon that a deluxe studio at OKW was not available WOW!!!!

Not surprising really...one of the single most popular days of the year for DVC.

That's a popular weekend and IIRC, the race is now sold out. Not surprising. Has OKW traditionally been one of the resorts that has early morning service to the staging/start area? If so, it's even more understanding that the night is sold out.

OKW is not a host resort but SSR is.

My other thought is that renters may gravitate to OKW vs SSR since they are a similar type of resort (spread out villas, bus to parks) but OKW is cheaper-78 vs 104 points/week in the fall

That's what I call a Perfect Storm weekend. F&W, Jersey week and a marathon. And there may be one other thing that I seem to forget. It was tough enough before they added the marathon.......

My anniversary is Nov 9 and every few years we like to go for a long weekend and it's a tough reservation at 7 or less months. Once we got a BWV 1 BR on a waitlist, another year we ended up just staying at the Swan.
