OKW studio advice

I would try to get a value one bedroom at AKL Jambo.You'd have the washer dryer and a king bed.

Yeah, been thinking about that one too.

We just booked a "last minute" August trip in a studio at OKW. I say "last minute" since we usually book right at 9:00am on the day the 11 or 7 month window opens up.

We have never stayed at OKW and I'm looking for advice on what section to request, things to do, etc. We will have a car with us but we usually take the buses most places so I'm not really concerned about transportation. Any advice is appreciated.

I love OKW. Just feels like I'm at a resort when I'm there. Anyway, when we're there (courtesy of sister's DVC), we ike to stay up near the front part of the resort--specifically buildings 23-26, 11-13, 16-18. Here's why:

--able to walk over to Hospitality House, theme pool, transportation, etc
--bldgs 23-26 also put you near Miller Rd bus stop, so you have two stops to try and maximize your bus chances/convenience.
--Bldgs 16-18 put you near one of the quiet pools.
--Bldg 11 is nice and quiet and looks over the golf course.(as do the others, mostly)

Quiet is a BIG deal for me. I don't want to hear the buses going by all the time. Once had a studio (one night only) that was right on Miller road and didn't sleep at all.

You can request to be in Hospitality House area and also indicate building preference (but you know how that goes--no promises. They do try and accommodate)
