OKW & SSR questions

We are thinking about staying at a DVC for our next trip and I have a few questions about OKW and SSR?

1) Do the studios (not villas) have a stove top to cook on?
2) Which resort has a better pool area for the kids (i.e slides, etc.)?
3) Which resort has better transportation to the parks?
4) Which resort is closer to a golf course?
5) Which resort do you prefer to stay at?

I stayed at both OKW & SSR on my first DVC trip, last month.
The studios do not have cook tops. Just a microwave, dorm sized frig & coffee maker.
The bus service at OKW was much more reliable than at SSR.
I didn't use the pool so can't help there.
I liked OKW much better than SSR both because of the better transportation & because the units are larger (more sq. footage) & have a more open feel at OKW. It felt more family-friendly than SSR.

We stayed at SSR and OKW this fall and I preferred SSR. The pool is awesome for kids. There is zero entry and a slash area which are great for little ones. There's also a small slide and a bigger slide. We actually had better bus service at SSR then OKW and the units are so new we found are unit at OKW a little musty.

OKW: loved the room size; if staying in a studio, you would have two queen beds; bus transportation was much better for us at OKW than SSR.

SSR: Wonderful pool area for kids; in a studio, you would have one bed and one sofa bed. Had horrible transportation this past week on SSR buses (gave up and rented a car). I think the entrance to the golf course (LBV) is closer to SSR.

I personally would stay at OKW over SSR.

I love them both - they are very different. However, I might pick OKW for the kids pool...While the pool at SSR is great, at OKW they had a large playground/sand area right next to the pool that my little ones loved. For kids about 8 and under, I thought it was great. Little ones could spend hours playing in the sand area. Also had nice picnic areas for families to really spread out in - unlike SSR.

Thank you all for your responses. It sounds like OKW might be the best fit- if we can afford the villa. DH would like to cook himself a hot breakfast to save money. Thanks again.
