OKW/Spa at Saratoga Springs Report

Hi everyone, DD and I are back!!! Our flight going down to Orlando was slightly delayed (Pres. Bush was in Fla. airspace!) so I called OKW from the plane while we waited to advise we would be late and to make sure we would have a ground floor room or a room in a building with an elevator (DD is about 6 months pregnant). Birdie answered the phone and very graciously assured me she would pull the file and make sure our request was taken care of. We got to OKW almost 2 hours later than planned, were greeted with a heart "Welcome Home" and proceeded to check in. This was Halloween evening and some of the CMs were dressed up - Dracula checked us in and our request was honored!!!! We had a nice dinner at Olivia's and turned in for the night.

The rest of the trip went really well - Food & Wine Festival was fantastic!!! All our meals (Biergarten, Portobello Yacht Club, Wolfgang Puck, etc.) were fantastic and very relaxing.

The spa was terrific - my aromatherapy massage and DD's motherhood massage were just too relaxing. The spa really doesn't look very different from when it was the Spa at the DI though. We later had manicures and pedicures with the paraffin wraps which were heavenly, followed by lunch at Artists Palette.
The restaurant looked beautiful, but there were really few choices. Fortunately, we found something we liked. All in all a great, relaxing trip, beautiful weather in the high 80s, no rain.

Sounds wonderful. Are the spa prices in line with other places? We are staying in a GV there in Jan. I would love to have a massage and facial. Bringing future daughter-in-law so will need to pay for 2, possibly three depending on who our other DS brings. This is our first trip home to SSR. We already own at OKW & BVC. Going to BCV in Dec with DH. We toured the SSR and the GV is beautiful. Stayed in a GV a few times at OKW. Just love the amount of room.

DD had a Motherhood Massage, Spa Manicure and Paraffin Treatment and I had an Aromatherapy Massage, Spa Pedicure and Paraffin Treatment - total bill $452 and that included whatever DVC discounts were applicable. I think this is a little more expensive than local spas in Central New Jersey, but definitely comparable to the Spa at the Grand Floridian.
