Does anyone know if there are hot tubs at the quiet pools at OKW? also, I saw that you can walk to DD...has anyone done this and konws how long it takes? also, is there a designated bus for DD from OKW?...is it a short ride? thanks!! :goodvibes

We just returned from OKW and while we were there I actually called down to the Hospitality House to ask how to walk to DD because I couldn't see anything on their map past the resort boundaries. I was told there was no way to walk there. I think they are wrong, but nevertheless, that is the answer I was given.

Their is a bus from OKW to DD and it is a short ride. Although the ride back to OKW from DD is somewhat longer - depending upon which DD stop you get on/off at. There is also a boat between DD and OKW that we took one evening that was an enjoyable change from the buses.

Good luck and have fun!

As for the walk to DTD....It can be done. It's long walk that takes you through SSR but it can be done. If I remember correctly you can access the path in the "South Road" area. I would estimate 20-30 minute walk.

Are there hammocks hanging around OKW, by any chance? I'd be willing to leave the parks for more than sleep if there was a hammock to lie in.;)

There are WONDERFUL hot tubs at every one of the quiet pools. Good size, nice vegetation and usually uncrowded. We actually took one non-park trip when all we did was "hot tub hop" - tried out a different hot tub each day of our trip.

Yeah, I know, we need to get a life. But the trip started two days past April 15th that year and DH is a tax guy and all we wanted to do was sit on the patio, listen to the phone NOT ringing and go to the hot tub. We were WAY burned out.:headache:

I think that sounds great!! glad to know the spas are so nice...thanks! I think that one of the best parts of the day is sitting in the hot tub after walking in the parks all day!!

you know I say no at first - but one of the DVC disk has a hammock at OKW - just have no ideal where this could be.

That's actually the reason I asked. My cousin's husband asked if there were hammocks. I said no, because if there were, surely someone would have mentioned them in one of the rave reviews of OKW. My cousin told him yes, because she saw it on the planning video.
