OKW Room Question

Are there specific smoking room sections at OKW? I forgot to request a nonsmoking room and I need to call tomorow just to be sure.
Has anyone been assigned a smoking room because they forgot to request a nonsmoke room when they made their reservation?
I thought the number of smoking rooms are becoming more limited in number and therefore my chances of getting one is slim. I'm just obsessing because MS isn't open today so I can't call to ask.

OKW now has only two buildings with "smoking optional" villas. Building 19 is all "smoking optional" and about 1/2 of building 41 allows smoking in the rooms.

This offers 2GV's, 2 - 2BRs and 4 - lockoffs in building 19 and 5 - 2BRs and 2 - lockoffs in building 41 for a total of about 6 Studios, 6 1BRs, 7 2BRs and 2 GVs at the resort - less than 3% of the resort.

The chances of a non-smoking request not being met are pretty slim at this point in time. In the past year or so OKW has converted 2 1/2 buildings to non-smoking and over the last 15 years the resort has converted about 7 buildings to non-smoking.

I would still call and make the request for a non-smoking villa.

Hey, Doc,

I thought Building 12 at Old Key West was a smoking building....is that just one more case of my memory going or has it been changed to non-smoking?

#12 was originally "smoking optional" , but has been changed to non-smoking as of last summer (or fall). #25 was also originally "smoking optional" and that one was changed several years ago.
