I saw the studio room pictures on allearsnet.com and they are all pink! I like the resort, but I don't think I could take that much pink, maybe it's cause I'm a guy, I don't know, haha. Are the rooms all like this?

Sort of Salmon Pink and sea green. I dont think they are too girly just Key west style. I really liked the colors!

It's pretty muted and the walls are not all the same color. One is darker than the others, and it's the one behind the bed. If you can't stay in a "pink' or salmon colored room, don't stay there. :confused3

The rooms are very muted shades of seafoam and peach/pink. Don't worry--not overly feminine. My FI loves it there and is definitely a "guy's guy"!!
It's more Key West/relaxing colors.

LOL, DH just saw this thread, and he said he thought it was just nice Key West themed colors.

The hotel is really nice (exterior, the resort itself), but I don't like the studio room colors, but I do like SSR.

Then that is where you should stay.

The color scheme is the same as the Ritz Carlton I stayed at in Miami Beach a year ago.

Salmon, pink, whatever. To me it's just a color scheme that works well with the Key West theming. Light & airy.

We spent two weeks at OKW this summer. Never felt like I was staying in the girls dorm. :smooth:

LOL, Granny! Girls and dorm certainly don't discribe OKW for me either!

I agree, more of a salmon, not pink. I drive a Surburban, love beer and ribs, and still love OKW!!

We liked the OKW color scheme so well, we went home and redid our bedroom (the "Florida room") in salmon and seafoam (or whatever you want to call them)...although in our case the salmon is actually an accent color with the seafoam predominant. But when I got squeamish and wondered if I should do the trim in blue or white instead, my husband was the one who insisted it should be the salmon color. It's true, the combination just "feels" relaxing somehow. None of the men in our family (hubby, our two grown sons, our son in law, my brother in law, etc., all avid hunters and sportsmen who are most comfortable in red flannel, blaze orange, or camo) ever complained about the decor. :sunny:

While I agree that the rooms are Florida colors and salmon, when we walked into our studio last year my husband said "it's very pink!"
He got over it. It wouldn't affect your stay, I don't think.

We painted our back bedroom inspired by the OKW colors. Ok, we went with darker versions of the colors (Blushing Princess and English Meadow from Home Depot) since we're living up north and pastels when it's 20 degrees out just isn't right, but we did try to capture the OKW/nautical feel with the rope molding, so even if it's wrong, it makes us feel at Home when we're at home.

The walls are sort of a pale peachy color...not pink like princess pink, if you KWIM.

There is also a lot of sea green and lavender...I don't consider it girly...more casual, beachy, Key West-y.
