We will be arriving at OKW on Sunday :Pinkbounc for 5 days. I had originally rented points for Monday thru Thursday and have a reservation for that. Then I ended up renting points from someone else for Sunday night (I had planned on staying offsite because our flight does not get in to Orlando until 4:30 p.m.), but got a good deal on points so.......Anyway, should I send a request, first of all for a certain area, I keep reading about all of the requests that people fax in---is there a not so good section at OKW-and second of all should I see if we can have the same room so we don't have to move--or will they notice that on their own (probably not). Any help will certainly be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

OKW is my home resort as a DVC member. All of the "neighborhoods" have good locations. It all depends what type of view you prefer and how close you would like to be to the pools, the bus stops, the Hospitality House and the main area with the general store and restaurant. I've stayed in all the different areas and have rarely had a really "bad" room, mostly due to the fact that trees are blocking the water and/or golf view. Some buildings are two-story and some are three-story, if that is a concern for you. None have elevators except for the newer units towards the front of the resort. All the different areas have their own pools (usually much quieter than the main pool). All have bus stops.

As for the fact you would probably want to stay in the same room, I would point that out and not rely on them to do so. They might recognize it, but I wouldn't count on that. Have a wonderful trip.....I adore OKW! :Pinkbounc

I love OKW... my family has been a member since it open.
We have stayed in every area of the resort and find that all area are great. We least like staying in the front of the resort though. It seemed to crowded, it is nicer to be in the other neighborhood because you are spread out and the pool is quieter. And if you ever need to get to the front of the resort, just jump on whatever bus is coming next they all stop at the lobby before they are off to their final destination.

Have a blast :p

Thanks for the information--it doesn't sound like I can lose with the room situation, I might go ahead and send something requesting that we get the same room and not move.
