OKW Refurbishment Starting

Just returned from our cold Jan vacation and stayed at VWL. OKW is our home resort and we went over twice once for a drink, and on our last day for lunch at Olivia's (Jan 8) They are working on buildings 11 and 12. They are closed off and they had siding taken off of building 12. I could not see much else. Just thought I would report.

I wonder if they will go through them in order? That would mean HH catagory is going to be refurbed the quickest.

While there in Sept/Oct they had several of the buildings in the Turtle Pond area blocked off with signs about them being refurbished so don't think they are working in numerical order.

they weren't supposed to start on the "real" refurb (with flat screens, etc.) until this spring. i wonder if the bldgs currently blocked off are just normal painting and so forth...

There was alot of machinery there, like lifts etc. and the siding was taken off one of the buildings. Not sure but it did look pretty major.

Highly doubtful, that would be a major "renovation" not refurbishment.

I agree, I would think something major, like elevators being added, would have been mentioned at the annual meeting last month. And unless there is a major change to the buildings format, not just cosmetic/siding changes, the ADA would not require elevators to be added. It would be a major expense to owners.
