OKW questions

We will be staying in a 2BR at OKW (dedicated 2 BR near HH) in Oct. It will be our first time there and in a 2BR. I have a few questions.

1. The reservation is in our name, using our points. We are meeting friends there. Their names are on the reservation. Can they check in without us if they arrive first?

2. Can you get vests for the kids at the pool? I was able to get them at VWL and AK.

3. Where will the internet connection be?

1. Yes, as long as their name is on the reservation they will be able to check in. Make sure they know that if they put a credit card down on the account it will be used for all cards with charging privileges. If you want your card on the account make sure they know to tell the check-in CM that you will take care of that when you arrive.

2. Yes, I believe you get them at Hank's Rent & Return. It's right near the main pool.

3. There is one in the dining are of the living room/dining room/kitchen. I would guess there are also connections in the bedrooms but perhaps someone else can confirm.

In the dedicated 2BR units, I am pretty sure the only connection is the one by the cabinets in the dining area. I do not believe there is any in the 2nd bedroom and I know there is none in the Master. If you need more than one, just buy a small travel router for about $50 and you can make that one connection a wireless one.

Not true. We have always had a second connection in the master. There is NOT one in the second bedroom of a dedicated though.

If you have the DDP that will have to be paid for for all people on the reservation before they will issue keys so if your friends check in first you need to make some arrangements for that also.

Really? Where, Diane? I didn't see on last June when we were at OKW in a one bedroom.

Stormer, if you are doing the DDP, your guests will have to pay for everyone if they check in before you arrive.

Okay, I just asked Dick about it because he has always used it in the master, but he told me he does it with a wireless router from the connection in the dining area. I'm sorry, I thought he always connected it in the bedroom.
