OKW question

I have heard that you can call and request a certin building .. how far in advance do i need to do this .. also what is the best building at OKW as far as closeness to the pool,community center ect.. I will be about 6 mo's pregnant and I am huge! we are going July 14th and I just do not think I will be able to walk real far as many times as we would need to .. Thanks for your help in advance

Hospitality House is the closest but it's a guaranteed booking category. If you have already made your reservation, you would have to cancel it and re-book. Other than HH, building 62 is the closest.

Hmmm, I didn't think any location, building or room request was guaranteed. Has something changed that I'm not aware of? BTW, our last stay was Bldg 62 - excellent location!

Last year, MS made "Near Hospitality House" a reservation category. It includes Buildings 11-14 and 23-26. The points are the same, but that range of Buildings is saved for those requesting the area when they reserve. There are other buildings also "near" HH - like 62-64, 15,16,17,18,27-29 - but since every bus stops at HH on the way out of the resort, it's pretty simple to get there from any location at the resort.

A number of years ago, DVC annouced that fax requests would not be honored. I don't know if that policy has changed or not, but it's probably best to make any requests at the time the reservation is being made ... and to keep those requests as simple as possible (near Bus Stop, Upper/Lower floor, elevator, etc.) rather than request specific buildings.

If we stay at OKW again, I will request to be on the bottom floor versus a particualr building. We were in a 2 bdrm this last trip that was on the 3rd floor. That was a horrible hike after a long day at the parks.

And those of us who don't care to have bouncing super balls and running children banging pots and pans on the ceramic floor at all hours much prefer the top floor to insure no one is above us!
