OKW Purchase

We are considering purchasing OKW. We have visited Disney several times and usually get two rooms so it seems to make financial sense. I know that we will trade for other properties in the future.

What have your experiences been with OKW? How is the updated pool? I have heard that there are not many pool chairs/nopt much space on the pool deck. True? Have you been able to successfully trade for other properties in the World/Concierge collection?

Any comments you can give me about OKW will be greatly appreciated. We were considering SSR but are not turned on with the theme there.

OKW is a great place to relax and enjoy your trip.

Our experience with OKW was a wonderful one this summer. It is a beautiful, lush resort. The pool added a themed slide this summer and it is very nice. It can get very crowded, but no more so than any other WDW resort main pool that I've seen. There are also three quiet pools (no slides) that are very nice and much less crowded.

We haven't traded out our DVC yet, so I can't help you there. Good luck with your DVC purchase decision...you've come to the right place for info!

OKW is mine and Dh's favorite resort.
We love the space and the laid back feeling.
We love going to Olivas for lunch.
I dont think there is one thing we dont like about the place.

Staying at OKW will be even nicer than you imagine, but trading out to other resorts will be somewhat more limited than you expect.

We love OKW! The large units and parking outside your door are a major plus for us, and we like to be away from the hustle and bustle since we do not live in the city. It is very relaxing, and we prefer the quiet polls which usually have plenty of chairs. Believe it or not, in 20 some trips to OKW, we have never used the main pool! Our preferred area is South Point, but we like them all. The views from the Miller's Road villas is incredible too.
