OKW Problems

fwiw - because I never remember to call ahead - we get a knock early am on check out mornings to see when we are leaving- or if we have left. I need to remember to call, but usually by then I'm so relaxed that I haven't even begun to tell DH to start packing!

Sue, how do you get DH to pack?!?!?!? I end up doing ALL of that!

Isn't it great?!!?!?!?! I don't know how it started, but it's routine now and I never argue.... Actually, my 2 dds and I pack our clothes and then go to the pool.... later on the boys show up the car is loaded, bathrooms all cleaned up - fridge dealt with etc ... what a great end to an always lovely vacation!

We never call. We always put our "do not disturb" sign on the door the night before and have never been bothered by housekeeping (and certainly not security !) when it's placed outside at any resort, DVC or non.
I'd love to get my dh to pack the suitcases too ! We do this the night before though. He does load the van though

The way I read this is the lady's brother was pro-active and thus prevented he's tee time to come off ok.

If he had done nothing he would have been doing imaginary swings on the tee........no clubs.

For some reason, the last few times we stayed at OKW, there was not a "do not disturb" sign on our door. The housekeeper came early, we just told her when we would be leaving. On trash & towel day, when I answered the door at 8:30, she said she would return later, I told her no one was in the bathroom so she could go ahead and change the towels. I can't imagine her "barging in".

I cannot either.....never heard of such a thing.
And if I checked-in to OKW and there was no "do not disturb" sign, I'd immediately call the front desk and ask for one, or make one out of paper or something. We have a 17 hour drive back to Philly on check-out day, and the one thing I need is the proper amount of sleep prior to getting on the road. This is why we pack the night before, so we can sleep in a bit and then go for a leisurely breakfast. I need those "dnd" signs !
