How are the OKW pools for little ones learning to swim(ages 3 and 6)(we also have a 1 year old) . I know it does not have zero depth like SSR. Can you rent floaties or swim jackets for kids at OKW? I like the sounds of OKW for the large rooms and key west theme( I can't wait to see a palm tree). But I wonder if SSR would be better for the kids because of the pool. Or WLV for the boat to MK (although woods theme does not feel like a Florida vacation to me) Oh no I'm waffeling again. :)

I would go next door - POFQ - that pool was designed for kids your age.

yes you can get floaties for free from Hank's rental.

I don't know if the kiddie pool is still there - it was close to where the slide is...

Doc or someone who went to the main pool - sorry on my recent trip we didn't...

here is a link to the POFQ (next door to OKW)

There is a nice kiddie pool and play area right behind the new slide at the OKW main pool. The play area is themed with oversized sand pail and shovel and the new slide (oversized sand castle) was built using the same theme.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the pictures. Great HM on the slide!

My 3 year old is going to FREAK having so much to play with :) Last time we were there all he did was play in the sand off to the left as you take the path towards the pool. Rolled and rolled (bleeck mommy said - but he LOVED it). 5 year old said "A slide? Really? Can I do it?" yeah! going to be great!
