OKW pool slide updated (Thu 12/16) - latest Photo added

Wed 12/15/04 - Today they took all the scaffolding down that was around the slide. Looks like all the cement work is done. It now definitely looks like a castle. Will try to get a photo.

Thu 12/16/04 - took this photo on the way to the parks this morning. All the scaffolding is down, but the outside barricades are still up as of this evening.

Exactly Pat that's why I made my ressie right at the 7 month mark! I worried it would be hard to get.

I can't wait it seems comparable to the Volcano pool @ the poly.

We'll be able to give you a comparision we're staying at OKW this Jan and then switching over to the Polynesian! Can't wait to try both of the pools!

Thank you Jim. I was also thinking the same thing, that it looks ugly, but didn't want to say anything. I never liked the concept drawings/model but decided to wait until I saw the real thing and hoped it would look better when completed. I am still hoping the painting/detailing, landscaping, etc. will make a difference. But I was hoping for a more elegant understated slide that complimented the area, like the slide at Vero. But this overshadows the entire area. This slide looks like a HUGE shapeless lump. Maybe it will look better in person. I hope.
